Is electric cars really zero emission vehicles?

Yes the vehicle itself is zero emission, but depending on the source for electricity there can have been emissions from for example coal power plants. To embrace clean electricity is important and an already ongoing progress but even the use of electricity from dirty coal power plants is friendlier to the environment than the use of gasoline and diesel powered cars.

Is it safe in a crash?

Yes. All production electric cars have been tested and approved safe by Road Administration Centres around the globe.

Is there any danger from electromagnetic fields in an electric car?

Electric cars create and use electric fields as all electric devices such as toasters, washing machines and computers.
According to Tesla Motors Inc there are no known risks from exposure to these fields.
